Centennial Hills, Las Vegas valley

Centennial Hills pool service and repair companies

Centennial Hills sits in the far northwest at 2,800 to 3,200 feet, higher and a little colder than the rest of the valley, with pools from late-1990s tracts off Ann Road, 2000s builds in Providence, and new ones in Skye Canyon. Open desert to the north and west and a few neighborhoods on well water give its pools their own set of problems.

What to know about pool service in Centennial Hills

Most Centennial Hills pools date from 1998 to 2010, so they are on their first replaster or just past it, with equipment on its second cycle. Providence, built from 2006, has pebble pools with spas and tight side yards where the equipment pad shares a wall with the neighbor. Skye Canyon, started in 2015, has some of the newest pools in the valley, often still under warranty. The horse-property lots in Lone Mountain have large custom pools from the 1990s and earlier, and some of those homes are on private wells, which add iron and even more calcium to already hard water.

Elevation matters here. Centennial Hills runs several degrees cooler than the Strip, so heaters get more use and pools sit a few weeks longer in the off season. The northwest wind pulls dust off undeveloped BLM land, and pools on the north edge of Skye Canyon and Providence collect grit even on clear days.

Providence and Skye Canyon have active HOAs with equipment hours and rules for anything above the wall. The older county tracts off Ann Road and Lone Mountain mostly have none. Homes here are mostly owner-occupied families, not seasonal.
